What is pH?
The pH of water is very important, but what is the pH now?
If we go back in time a few years we can see where the p and the H come from.
p = comes from the German potenz, which means power
H = comes from hydrogen
In 1909, Soren Sorensen, a Danish chemist, invented the pH scale, which determines the acidity of an aqueous solution.

Measuring pH in the spa
The ideal pH level in the jacuzzi is between 7,2 and 7,8 ppm.
To measure the pH you need to use a water tester. We offer different water testers, from manual to electrical.
If the pH is too low (value below 7,2), you should add pH plus.
If the pH is too high (value above 7,8), you should add pH minus.

pH not adjustable
Do you have problems regulating your pH value? That could be because the alkalinity of your water is too low. The ideal value of alkalinity should be between 80 and 120. You can increase this value with the Leisure Time Alkalinity Increaser.
Always ensure that this value is correct before adjusting your pH value.
